This is good. You'll like this.
We've been asked to run a competition by a bunch of chaps and, no doubt, lady chaps from DCSF . They promote Science and Maths type knowledge .... and you know what needs Science and Maths? Games! So this is the plan.
Pay attention.
We're going to let you try and come up with a great idea for a Flash game for Weebl's Stuff. This game can be about anything at all. The best idea will then be made by the mighty code fist of 3D Phil.
As we make it we're also going to blog about the process in a totally exciting way, thus demonstrating the mighty power of both Science and Maths
Here are the details of the competition.
*Not only do you get to see your game made but if you win you'll also get a shiny, new PSP 3000. Wooo!
*Entries need to be in before 11.59am on the 5th of December 2008. Not sure why it's so specific but it is. No doubt maths is involved.
*This competition is only open to UK residents. That's because we're best at the ideas. Or something.
*Entries should be submitted via the entry form. HERE
That link to the entry form again: ENTRY FORM
Like I said, the game can be about anything at all .
If, say, you think the best game ever would be one where you fling bile-filled herons at a radioactive space pope using a see-saw and weights dropped from Airwolf, then send it in.
That idea won't be made mind you, cos it's mine - so back off.
What's awesome about that idea though is though it requires physics and maths to work out trajectories and gravity and such.
So get to it right now and enter for fame, glory and a shiny new portable console.
