f we have to pay then atleast give us the choice onto what we pay for! 20m!!! for what. We can give him a first class return flight, posh 5 star hotel, 5 meals every meal and a limo and driver for his visit and it wouldnt touch 20million!!!

Given the catholic church is worth a trillion dollars, and we're mortgaged to the hilt, it does seem a bit off us getting charged for him to 'grace' our shores. Petition signed.

The real rub is that The Vatican is officially internationally recognised as an independent state, with the Pope as head of state. So not only does he get the treatment of a visiting world leader, he gets to spout whatever views he wants as a religious leader.
