The sensationalist implication being that adults are supposed to defer to children in all things. Screw that. If I paid £100 for a ticket and managed to get myself right to the front, I'd work pretty hard for a souvenir too! A useful life lesson for the kid - life's a bitch, and there's always someone faster and more determined than you.

It's not 'adults are supposed to defer to children' it's the fact, IMHO, Djokovic threw it to the young girl and it was snatched from her grasp. Then the news article where the woman said "20 people were going for the t-shirt and I'm not giving it back so :-P" AND then selling it back to the young girls family for more than 5500 Aussie dollars. Granted she gave the money to charity but that was only due to the internet vilifying her. I bet she would have gladly keep the t-shirt/money if there was not internets!
