skoo's fancy dancing update

A lot of you have asked me if the videos we select to appear on the front page are guaranteed finalists. Simply put, they are not. We try to select a wide range of videos from the godly to the awkward to the sublime and downright confusing.

The following video is another torso-only dance video. I wish more of you would take the extra time to secure a location with ample lighting and plenty of viewing room so I can see your leg moves. Regardless, this particular video includes our old friend Mr Robot.

COME AND READ THE REST OF MY REVIEW!

I didn't know we had a seizure category. Apparently this is meant to be dancing, but an interesting choice of music selection and "dance". CLICK HERE TO SEE

This video is short on the actual dancing content but there is clearly some impressive script work going on here. Not much else to say, except it is well worth a watch.

This is more like it, decent lighting, and a camera angle that lets us see ALL of the moves on display. Sadly, the bag on the head is a little off-putting, and I think the dancer almost falls a few times. I'm not sure if that is a good thing, you decide.

This video is called the Chocobo Dance, because it is meant to be a Chocobo dancing. There is very little Chocobo in this video, and I'm not sure if that flapping is classified as dance... but hey, it's worth a watch.

This next video impresses me greatly. I can see the moves in full, there is a wide range of styles covered here, and it looks as though the costumes and makeup cover the same styles at the same time (This is both confusing yet somehow *right*) The over-sized slippers and underlaying semblance of choreography make for a tasty treat.

A summary of my top tips for fancy dancing stardom:

Location: Make sure you have plenty of room to not only bust your favourite moves, but to actually film them, too!

Lighting: It's no good if we can't see your body poppin and lockin backflips and bobby dazzlers. Make sure you open the curtains or wait until daylight.

Costumes: Not required, and in some instances they can be off-putting. However, we can always make allowances for feindishly selected attire.

Music selection: The music made famous as the Benny Hill theme is funny, but only when used in the Benny Hill sketches. Please try to be original! We have a distinct lack of hip hop music, so how about you all try some hipping and hopping over this next week?
