Just a quick note to let you all know that the bidding on our charity auction has closed and the winning bid reached a staggering £1,750.00 which is about 36 billion dollars with the current exchange rate. Thanks to all who bidded, and once we are given the relevant information, work will begin on this special toon.
According to the Oxfam figures (in the e-bay listing), the winning bid will pay for the building of a classroom, and 20 textbooks, or they could buy an entire mango plantation. Personally, I hope that the money goes towards mangos. Who needs education when you have no mangos? Life would be so dull. All kidding aside, this bid far exceeded our expectations. Thanks once again to all of the bidders!
In a totally unrelated yet somehow dodgy sounding bit of news... Weebl is on holiday in Egypt this week. No, he didn't take the money and run, leaving me to take the heat. I have photographic proof.
