Yet again here at Weebl HQ we've witnessed the silky disco thrustings of your fancy dance moves for 2008, and we've been bowled over by the time and effort put in by everyone, so cheers for that you dancing monkeys. We've had the usual spread of costumery, groin humps, and many, many puppets. In our minds you're all winners, except for the ones who didn't win.
So here are our movers and shakers for 2008. Well done youse.
In at 3: We love a musical story, and this tells us that sometimes the dance is just too darn addictive to ignore. Great moves, a bit of gratuitous sign kicking and one of the best songs ever in a Fancy Dance, behold the magic of Ninjabaver.
Big old number 2: Another great song, and some splendid costumery. This one really makes me feel happy. I love the fact that in places it looks like the routine is all going to fall apart, but doesn't due to the smiley effervescence of the dancers. Bringing the fun: Chocolate and Toast
There can be only 1: The best interpretation of the music, and bit of play acting and tom foolery and a steady rolling shot all go towards making this our bestest dance of 2008. Simple yet effective, I give you ScoochNWilly.
Yay, well done!! The Fancy Dance applauds you.
As we've mentioned throughout the competition, the fantastical prize this year has been a 36"x36" picture provided by the wonderful canvasrus.co.uk (Slightly disapointingly it's a site where they print your pictures onto canvas and not a blog for a bloke called Canvas Rus). Thank you Canvas R Us. I will ask ScoochNWilly to take a photo of their prize once they receive it too. If you're wondering what they chose for their picture it was Magical Trevor fighting The Balrog.
