Fancy Dance 2008 Begins

It's time to get fancy and dancy in your pantsy! Fancy Dance 2008 has officially begun today. You have one whole month to film your entrys before the deadline. Either post a link to your video on the forums here or email the address to me here. Remember you can enter as many times as you want, on your own or as a group.

Rules:

_{*Has to be an original video for this years competition
*Dance must be fancy
*Dancers must be real. That's not ghetto slang by the way. We mean actual humans.
*You can dance with your dog if you want but dogs dance must also be fancy.
*Cats are cool too.
*No hens.}

The prize this year is a one off, never to be made again 36x36 canvas print (Provided by the lovely Canvasrus) of anything Weebl's Stuff related you want. For example: If you want a picture of Weebl being sick into a bucket of hens, I will draw it for you. You and only you would be the proud, is slightly odd, owner of the one and only fabled Hen Sick image. Being sick on a hen not your bag? Well anything goes. How about a picture of Cat Face beating up a hen. If you're the winner of this years Fancy Dance it's all gravy.

It's the moment some of you have been waiting for all year. FANCY DANCE 2008. Mrs Weebl has beaten me till I admitted that it was indeed about time we ran it. Oddly enough the moment the decision had been made to start it a fantastical prize opportunity came through from the lovely chaps at www.canvasrus.co.uk, who have offered up a lovely 36x36 inch canvas upon which we will supply a fabulous one-off, Weebl's Stuff based picture, of the winners choosing.

Come on. That's a pretty nice prize. All you have to do to win is dance your ass (or indeed collective asses) off in the fanciest manner possible, upload the video to YouTube and then send me a link to it.

How will I send you the link?

* Mentally picture yourself sending it to me while looking at a picture of a clam.*

How long do I have?
How long do any of us have eh? You could be hit by a clown car tomorrow... Oh I see what you mean. The competition will run for 1 month starting next Monday. This week is prep week. Use it wisely and send in your video as soon as possible.

What is fancy dancing?
Fancy dancing is not flailing your arms around madly with no thought. Fancy dancing is fancy and dancey. For a good example of the fancy dance let us look at last years winners.

Anything else I need to know?
The video needs to have been specially for this years fancy dance. Any videos uploaded before today will be shunned. You can enter as many times as you like and you can have as many people in your entry as you like as well but there will only be one prize.

Oh. Thanks for reminding me. There is also an official Fancy Dance tee available in the store. Wear one and you can proclaim the fact you have stylish moves for all to see.

This was the lovely little Peanut who died just a few minutes ago after suddenly becoming very ill. We're going to miss her even though we had her for just a few days.

Just got an email from the manager of Ladytron. Sadly it seems that the Destroy video will not be returning. I can't be bothered to fight this anymore. Sorry.

Further news on the Ladytron drama.

It seems more likely now that the original emails regarding the Destroy video were not from Tim (Ladytron's manager) at all but someone pretending to be him. Please do not email anyone at Ladytron about this matter. I'm trying to get to the bottom of this with Tim who has been nothing but pleasant in our actual emails.
